J. MARK FISHER

J. MARK FISHER is a partner with Schiff Hardin LLP, Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Fisher's practice areas are Bankruptcy, Workouts, and Creditors' Rights Finance. He is member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and Commercial Finance Association. Mr. Fisher's education includes Yale University (B.A. with distinction, magna cum laude, 1975), Phi Beta Kappa; University of Virginia School of Law (J.D. 1978), Order of the Coif, Editor, Virginia Law Review. Mr. Fisher has extensive experience representing commercial and industrial landlords. He has won landmark decisions for creditors in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Seventh Circuits, as well as the Illinois Appellate Courts. He is a frequent author and speaker on secured transactions and lender liability issues, fraudulent conveyance issues, the purchase of assets of distressed and bankrupt businesses and other bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters to various bar and finance groups. He is coauthor of Illinois Secured Transactions under Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, Forms and Practice Manual, as well as other publications such as "Loan Workouts and Commercial Bankruptcy", published in Advising Illinois Financial Institutions.
