ROBERT K. SCHEINBAUM

ROBERT K. SCHEINBAUM practices law with Podvey, Meanor, Catenacci, Hildner, Cocoziello & Chattman, P.C. in Newark, New Jersey. He attended Cornell University on a National Merit Scholarship and obtained a B.A. degree in Economics in 1989. Robert received his J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1994 and, while at Penn Law, served as an Associate Editor of the Comparative Labor Law Journal. He is admitted to state and federal bars of New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia, and concentrates his practice in bankruptcy/insolvency and commercial and insurance litigation. Prior to law school, Robert spent two years in the field of actuarial consulting. From 1999 to 2001, Robert served as the Vice President and General Counsel of a Washington, D.C.-based business intelligence firm and, in that capacity, consulted for a vast array of clients, including venture capital investors, political advocacy groups and private investigation firms. He has co-authored numerous articles in the field of bankruptcy law, including Security Interests in Credit Card Receivables, Bankruptcy Strategist (October 1998); The Tax Act of 1997: Roth IRA's and Bankruptcy, California Bankruptcy Court Reporter (April 1998); and Shades of Gray: Recent Developments That Impact Advising Directors and Officers in the Twilight Zone of Insolvency, Norton Annual Survey of Bankruptcy Law (2006). Robert is a contributing editor of Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice, Chapter 77A, Corporate Governance.
